Catherine Lowe and Julie Hoover are partnering with The Yarnery for a unique knitting retreat. There aren't any formal classes, but instead the opportunity to knit, talk and make friends with the special guests. This time around Karen Templer of Fringe Supply Co. and I were both invited.  This is a real treat for me. I love sitting around knitting and talking life knitting (and food) with fellow enthusiasts. 

As the Yarny puts it:

This year's retreat will be held October 6-9, 2016 at The Lodge on Lake Detroit, Detroit Lakes, MN. The retreat begins with registration and a dessert buffet Thursday evening, and ends at noon on Sunday. The retreat is conceived as the ultimate knit-in; you'll learn from the designers, and each other, as you knit, share and laugh together. Each of the four designers will offer a presentation about their work, and an extensive trunk show will be on site to inspire you. The Yarnery's Pop Up Shop will offer yarn, kits, patterns, and accessories that highlight the work of the designers.
